Sustainability statement

At Atellior, sustainable and biophillic design principles are at the core of every project we design. Biophilic design employs a humancentred approach to improving built spaces through a connection with nature, with numerous benefits to health and well-being.

Nature may be directly present; replicated through spatial configurations or indirectly evoked in an analogous manner. Implementation of such principles can positively impact the aesthetic environment of a space, including air quality, acoustics, lighting and thermal comfort, resulting in increased productivity, creativity and reduced absenteeism.

As architects and interior designers, our social and corporate responsibility is to support our clients in delivering considerate and sustainable buildings for their end-users. We interrogate our supply chain to ensure that sustainable principles are being adhered to.

We actively seek out ISO and FSC certified products which meet or exceed British and European Standards. Wherever possible, we aim to specify products containing a proportion of recycled elements. Lastly, we aim to specify locally, or regionally, in order to bolster the economy and reduce the carbon footprint of our projects.
