For this project Atellior sought to evoke the spirit of the golden age of Opatija in a modern way, by taking timeless elements and re-employing them in a contemporary manner. The panoramic vista of Kvarner Bay can be seen from every corner of the hotel, which has inspired the interior colour schemes of sun-gold and sea-blue with green accents to represent mediterranean pines.

The restaurant design is inspired by the concept of the mediterranean pergola - a traditional gathering point for al fresco eating and drinking. Atellior has interpreted this as a ceiling design with clusters of brass pendant lights which produce a subdued ambience.

Luxurious finishes, carefully chosen materials and bespoke furniture combine to achieve a contemporary yet timeless design. Gold calacata marble and black travertine stone with brass touches are used in the spa providing a truly indulgent atmosphere.

In the exclusive presidential annexe, a bolder but still luxurious design has been employed in keeping with the architecture; the ultimate retreat for very special guests.
